Newcastle meanwhile are lacking some firepower up front, and are one Ayoze Perez injury away from not having a single player capable of thriving as a number ten.
Fans clearly think Barkley could fix this problem, assuming Chelsea bring in a new signing that pushes the 24 year-old further down the pecking order.
