da betway: After successfully seeing off AFC Bournemouth last time out in the Premier League, Slaven Bilic and his West Ham outfit currently find themselves sitting comfortably in fifth in the Premier League.
da blaze casino: Dimitri Payet is finally back in the first team fold, the Hammers haven’t lost a league match since last November and with the club’s hotly anticipated move to London’s Olympic Stadium coming up, there is plenty of reason for positivity at the Boleyn Ground.
However, although Bilic’s current squad remains relatively strong right in the here and now, could the January transfer window offer signs of further excitement for West Ham United?

Ravel Morrison’s failure to settle in the Italian Serie A has subsequently raised a great deal of contemplation regarding his future this season – so should the Hammers ultimately look to offer the struggling 22-year-old a way back to the Premier League in 2015/16, or has the former Manchester United youngster simply been given enough chances at the Boleyn Ground.
Well, although much of the talk surrounding Ravel Morrison remains purely speculative to say the very least, there is still no doubt surrounding the overall potential behind this often contentious midfielder – even if he has largely failed to impress at Lazio this term.
Morrison’s past transgressions off the field obviously remain worthy of consideration with all things taken into account – but when looking at this particular discussion from an entirely footballing perspective – surely there can be no doubt surrounding whether or not this former England U21 international has what it takes to improve the current Hammers squad available to Slaven Bilic in 2015/16.
The notion of playing him alongside the likes of Dimitri Payet and Manuel Lanzini in West Ham’s flair-based attacking line-up under Bilic, would most definitely arrive as a great cause for excitement in and around the Upton Park faithful this January.
Unlike most up and coming English youngsters who invariably gather a great deal of attention from the British media on their proposed rise to the top, Morrison is a player who not only possesses much of the raw talent necessary to make it in the Premier League, but also someone capable of matching his overall technical skill with impressive intelligence all across the pitch.
The 22-year-old midfielder could rarely be found running into trouble like a headless chicken when he first introduced himself at Upton Park – and under West Ham’s newly installed management team led by the calm, yet imposing figure of Slaven Bilic – perhaps Morrison’s initial signs of promise would only blossom further to great effect.

The most significant stumbling block surrounding the former Old Trafford graduate arrives in the form of his apparent attitude problems and so-called ‘bad-boy’ image off the field. Although very few of us can actually claim to personally know the player and what Ravel Morrison is really like away from the football pitch, his subsequent failure to tie down a place at West Ham first time around certainly raises a few important question-marks.
Yes, much of his reputation may have indeed been over-hyped during his brief spell in the English game, and he was arguably never quite suited to the overly defensive management tactics employed by former boss Sam Allardyce in the first place, but there is simply no getting away from the fact that this potential signing sadly involves a great deal of risk when it comes to the current sense of harmony within Slaven Bilic’s ranks.
However, as Morrison could possibly begin a new start at West Ham with some unmistakably updated talent alongside him all across the pitch, perhaps both parties could be willing to turn over a new leaf this January. A short term contract until the end of the 2015/16 campaign would be a fair deal for the midfielder as far as many West Ham fans are concerned, allowing Morrison the chance to prove himself once more as the player we all know he could one day turn out to be.
Yet as the out of favour Lazio man has seemingly been included in plans for Mark Noble’s upcoming testimonial match at the Boleyn Ground this year, maybe this deal may be closer to happening than most of us would have initially expected.
