On Wednesday, the fixture list for the 2017-18 season was announced, and Chelsea learned that they will begin the defence of their title against Burnley at Stamford Bridge on August 12.
As well as that, key matches for the Blues were revealed, with a clash against Arsenal scheduled for New Year’s Day at the Emirates.
The final match of the season at the Bridge will potentially be a huge clash against Liverpool, while Newcastle United will host the Blues in the last fixture on the calendar.
After the matches were announced, plenty of Chelsea fans predicted that the title will either be won against Liverpool, or sealed before the penultimate game.
