da 888casino: According to reports in The Telegraph, Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is keen to stay with the club and salvage his career despite The Sun saying his preferred destination would be West Ham United if he is allowed to leave.
What’s the word, then?
da apostaganha: Well, the future of Wilshere looked to be in doubt after he spent last season on loan with Bournemouth and returned to the Emirates this summer with just one year remaining on his contract.
While The Telegraph says the Gunners haven’t offered the 25-year-old a new deal and they are open to offers for the midfielder, the England international still believes that he can have a future at the north London outfit having returned to training having recovered from a fractured leg he suffered during his spell with the Cherries.
The Sun says that if Wilshere is farmed out on loan or is to leave Arsenal permanently that he would prefer to stay in London and that West Ham would be his preferred destination, but that move has been put into doubt.
How did Wilshere do at Bournemouth last season?
The 25-year-old was an impressive performer for the south coast outfit and finally got the regular matches he needs to try and rejuvenate his career before suffering the setback against Tottenham in April.
Wilshere provided two assists in 27 Premier League appearances and he showed glimpses of the quality he has with a passing accuracy of 84% while he created 34 chances for his teammates.
The Three Lions star also showed how good he is at dribbling, getting himself out of tight situations and bringing the ball forward by successfully completing 57 of the 81 take-ons he attempted.
Do West Ham have any chance of getting him?
It’s difficult to say.
Arsene Wenger has already hinted that Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez will be at the club next season despite the fact that they are yet to extend their deals that run out next summer, and the French manager could choose to implement a similar plan for Wilshere.
The 25-year-old will certainly fancy his chances of breaking past the likes of Mohamed Elneny and Francis Coquelin in the pecking order if he gets back to full fitness, but Granit Xhaka, Aaron Ramsey and Santi Cazorla may still be in front of him.
Arsenal could still choose to loan him out or sell him if they believe he doesn’t have a future, so you certainly can’t completely rule out a move away with four weeks left until the summer transfer window closes.
