da prosport bet: Inter Milan are the latest club to rival Tottenham Hotspur in the hunt for PSV Eindhoven ace Steven Bergjwin, according to De Telegraaf.
What’s the word?
Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham have not caught the eye as they have in recent years, struggling in the Champions League and not performing at their best in their Premier League campaign thus far on the back of a quiet summer.
Pochettino looks prepared to bolster his squad in January but securing prime targets could be an increasingly difficult task, with PSV Eindhoven winger Steven Bergjwin attracting increasing interest across the continent.
De Telegraaf reports Inter Milan have joined Tottenham in the hunt to land the 20-year-old, who is also being eyed by Manchester United and Liverpool.
What can he offer?
Spurs have seen their squad depleted by injuries in the build-up to the international break and the suggestion seems to be that they do not have the depth capable of coping with a vast amount of losses.

Fortunately, their forward lines have largely escaped punishment but a lack of depth beyond Son Heung-Min, Erik Lamela and Lucas Moura in the wide positions is evident as injury to one of the trio would leave Spurs with big problems.
20-year-old Bergjwin could, therefore, be a solution to Pochettino’s potential woes but PSV are likely to hope for a bidding war that will see a fee for Bergjwin rise above his £18m valuation from TransferMarkt and Spurs should move swiftly if they are to win the chase.
